The  Men`s FuelCell 996v5 D Width Tennis Shoes continue the solid tradition of the brands` signature model. This update has a raised lateral outrigger, and it sits higher off the court for a more cushioned fit. The shoe utilizes New Balance`s most propulsive performance foam to date: FuelCell. The 996v5 features a modern transparent ice rubber outsole, which showcases the basketball-inspired "chicken foot" design.
 

Width: D (Standard)

Upper: Synthetic mesh with Hypoknit combine for a lightweight, breathable, and supportive experience tailored specifically for tennis players. A traditional tongue features `wings` to keep you locked in place (essentially a half sleeve). A PU Medial Guard protects the toe.

Insole: An Ortholite Insert ensures underfoot comfort and security.

Midsole: FuelCell technology runs through the full length of the shoe, and offers the brand`s highest energy return and propulsion to date. A top-loaded shank ensures torsional stability.

Outsole: The non-marking, NDurance rubber compound enhances durability in high-wear areas of the shoe. The FuelCell 996v5 features an 8mm heel-to-toe drop.
